The final descent! And the training. Coming down the final, very rocky descent, without poles, with very sore knees, in high winds and pitch black - definitely type 2 fun.

Everyone, but especially ultra rookies. There is nothing too technical, nothing difficult to navigate, and there is lots of support from fellow runners on the way.

Start near the front, it gets very very congested. The toasted cheese sandwiches at the final aid station are magnificent! Enjoy it, it's a wonderful experience.
