Edinburgh, Scotland
-
Effortful. Enjoyable. Educative.
-
The crowds, the atmosphere, the first 25k through the city and along the Leith.
-
The last 15k was really tough along a grim, bleak main road and the finish was pretty uninspired with long hot queues for transport back to city centre.
-
It’s one of the more ‘doable’ marathons so anyone starting out or in early stages.
-
Allow time to see something of this beautiful city.
-
Carry your own nutrition. There was not much left at aid stations by the time the later runners got there.
